Day Twenty of Adventures in Paradise!

So far our cruise has sailed from Honolulu to Tahiti, Moorea, Bora Bora, and Auckland. Only two sea days (today and tomorrow) remain until we reach Sydney and end our 17 night cruise. In preparation for our arrival into Sydney, Australian immigration officers have arrived on the ship and are checking in all the passengers as well as stamping their passports. They are doing this to make it easier for us during customs at the Sydney pier. Anyways on to today! We had Breakfast and Lunch in the Windjammer. Unfortunately, the ship was very rocky today. The rocking was so bad they placed throw-up bags on each staircase for those who were prone to seasickness. For our activities today, we attended a talk about the South Island of New Zealand as well as played Bingo again (we didn't win). They also had the adorable Kids Talent Show today. The best part was when they asked a five year old girl what she wanted to be when she grew up... she said, “a mermaid.” Our other activities included attending a Black Forest cake making demonstration followed by tasty samples. Another activity was attending a talk about the theater performances, which included going backstage to see how they put the nightly shows together. Tonight was our third formal night, and for dinner, I got to try for the first time in my life, Kangaroo! Kangaroo tastes, exactly, I said EXACTLY, like beef steak. The only difference is that there is no fat whatsoever on the meat. This is caused from the kangaroo hopping around all day unlike a cow which basically stands around all day. The kangaroo steak was delicious, I wish all beef steaks were as lean as this one. I also tried the tiger shrimp dish, another culinary treat for me. Tonight's entertainment was a show called “The Boys in the Band.” They were an all boys band doing tribute to oldies such as the Jersey Boys, Jackson Five, and the Bee Gees. Once again, the group was great and they got an encore from the audience as well as a standing ovation. Well, that's all for today, stay tuned tomorrow for our last full day on the Radiance of the Seas!

Samples!!  I, of course, chose the one made from the professional.
