What an amazing time we have had in Sydney so far! It's a shame that our trip in Sydney is already halfway over. Alright on today! We decided today to sleep in late until 10:00 am after all the exhausting walking we had done the two days before. We had breakfast right before they closed at 10:30 am. After that, we walked down to Circular Quay to go on a nice ferry ride to the Taronga Zoo (Sydney's Main Zoo, 10 minutes away from the pier). At the zoo, we saw all sorts of animals, complete with a gorgeous view of the Sydney Harbour. We we were done, we took the ferry back to Circular Quay and took a walk down to the Sydney Harbour Bridge and went up one of its Pylons to the top for a great view of the Harbour from 500 feet above the sea. After this, we took a walk, a very long walk (1.5 miles) down to a place called Haymarket (south of Sydney) for a delicious Thai dinner at a place called Chat Thai. We went with our usual offering we get at Thai restaurants, Pad Thai. For dessert, I got to try for the first time in my life Durian. Specifically, it was Durian sticky rice. If you didn't know, Durian is the most STINKIEST fruit you will ever smell in your life. It smells like sweaty gym socks mixed in with fermented onions. It tastes like a sweet strawberry custard; however, you can still smell it while your eating it, making it a pretty gross combination. Furthermore, the burps you get have that nasty smell from the fruit. I could not eat it because of the smell, but it was worth to try something new in my life that I have heard of for a long time. To finish up today, mom and I went to the Sydney Tower (a 800 ft. observation tower with a great 360 degree view of the city) and took the elevators up to the top. It was a great experience, similar to the Stratosphere in Las Vegas, and I took plenty of pictures. After this, mom and I went back to the Radisson to bed. Well, that's it for today, don't miss out on tomorrow's adventures, Stay Tuned!
