Another new day at sea, another new adventure! Today was the second of four days at sea to reach Auckland, New Zealand. We had the typical breakfast and lunch in the Windjammer. For dinner, we once again ate in Rita's Cantina. We also played bingo, but unfortunately didn't win. One of the generous things Royal Caribbean does is that each cruise, they have the Make a Wish event. In this event, they try to raise $5000 per cruise by selling Make a Wish T-Shirts for $10 each. After the shirts are sold, all the participants walk several laps around the ship for a total of one mile. The Make a Wish organization allows and pays for a sick and/or dying child to experience one of their dreams come true (for example, sailing on a cruise). Mom and I of course participated and we both walked one mile around the ship and had our picture taken. The weather was a little lousy and rainy though, but we managed. After the walk, we relaxed in the room until dinner. Tonight's entertainment was a rather famous comedian (I've never heard of him before) called Kelly Monteith. Well, that's all for today! Don't miss out on tomorrow's third of four days at sea. Actually, there will be no tomorrow because we're skipping October 8th at 2:00 am and going right to October 9th at 2:00 am since we're crossing over the international date line. Now we'll be ahead of all the world and be the first to greet the sun in the morning! So, it would be better to say see you in “two days.”
