Today we woke up at 5:00 am in order to catch our flight to Honolulu leaving at 7:40 am. We unfortunately had to say our goodbyes to Mary and Ed, and after we ate a quick breakfast, we had to leave for the Portland Airport. Our flight was on Alaska Airlines and we got into Honolulu six hours later at 11:00 am (2:00 pm PST). Our next friend awaiting us in Honolulu, Ann, was there to meet and and take us around Oahu. We first ate lunch at Denny's and a sushi bar. Then, after we dropped off our luggage at her house, we went to Diamond Head for the one mile hike up to the top of the summit. While this walk was pretty easy for me, for my out of shape mom, it was a whole different story. She had to take lots of stops along the way, but we made it to the top nonetheless. With our one hour twenty minute hike complete, we went out to dinner at a local bowling alley and had some delicious desserts. Afterwards, we both fell straight to sleep, still not used to the Hawaiian time zone yet. Don't miss out on tomorrow's update, our first day on the Radiance of the Seas saling to Tahiti, New Zealand, and Australia!
